MOVIE REVIEW OF PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN ON STRANGER TIDES

This be the fourth installment of the Pirates of The Caribbean Franchise & possibly the last one (Not if I have anything to say about it). This go around the cast consists of Johnny Depp as everyone’s favorite pirate Captain Jack Sparrow (never forget the Captain part),Penélope Cruz as Angelica, Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, and last but not least the pirate who all pirates fear Blackbeard,played by Ian McShane.

I really enjoyed the two new additions to the cast, Penélope Cruz & Ian McShane. Penélope Cruz provides the film with a beautiful and deadly character from Jack’s past. While Ian McShane does the legend proud at bringing the bloodthirsty Blackbeard to life.

Well what can I say, this time you get all the Jack you could shake a cursed piece of gold at. The plot revolves around the search for the Fountain of Youth & Jack Sparrow is the only one who possesses the map to find it (As seen after the end credits of the 3rd movie). Along the way Jack will encounter Angelica his old flame, which can only spell trouble for Jack & if that’s not enough Jack has caught the attention of the infamous pirate Blackbeard, who is not pleased to see him. How will this turn out for Jack, Well I won’t tell you because no SPOILERS, you just have to see for your self & you wont be disappointed.

I swear it like looking through a window into the past, the scenery is just superb & the costumes are well done .If you get the chance see this movie in 3D IMAX. I had the opportunity to see it that way & aside from feeling the wind and water it was very realistic. The visual & sound effects were just as good as those seen & heard in the first three. The fight scenes are some of the most realistic sword fighting ever & are made even more epic by the background music.

Overall I give this movie a 10 out of 10 because it gave audiences exactly what they wanted ever since they saw the original, & that’s more Jack. Plus it was good to see Jack on his own adventure & not mixed up in some weird love triangle.LOL Yes we had to say good by to Orlando Bloom/Will Turner & Keira Knightley/Elizabeth Swann but lets face it, it was a bit dragged out at the end & there story has come to a close. (So all you damb Orlando fan girls better suck it up & see this movie cause its sure as hell was not Orlando Bloom/Will Turner that made this franchise awesome. What made this movie awesome were Jack’s humor, personality, and unpredictability.

P.S. Wait till after the Credits for an extra scene.

P.S.S I know a guy who works for  Disney & he informed me that the scripts for pirates 5 & 6 are being written up & as soon as Depp finishes his other movie roles these 2 will be made back to back.
